Outstanding Arma Christi Crucifix, Bavarian Folk Art Wood Carving

An outstanding "Arma Christi" wood carving in the Bavarian folk-art tradition, sometimes called tramp art for its hand-hewn character. A powerful devotional piece, 27"H x 13.75"W, that hangs beautifully in a home chapel, prayer corner, hallway, or above a doorway. The deep carving and aged surface suit rustic, Alpine, and traditional Catholic interiors — a meaningful gift for a collector of religious folk art.
